A professional mountain guide, with 78 major expeditions to 6 continents on his resume, Kurt has led expeditions to peaks in Africa, Alaska, the Alps, Antarctica, Bolivia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Russia, and the Himalayas. He’s also achieved two successful ascents of Mt. Everest in 1995 and 2008. Kurt founded Sierra Mountaineering International based out of his hometown of Bishop, California along the base of the beautiful Eastern Sierra. From this vantage point, Kurt and a dozen highly talented mountaineers regularly guide climbs nearby ~ in the Sierra, Joshua Tree, Mt Whitney, plus exciting expeditions to all seven continents in the world. His mission is to cultivate an atmosphere of fun and friendship, with a keen eye toward safety, while helping outdoor adventurers achieve the experience of a lifetime.
